VISUAL JOURNEY 21

Gingerly Holding Impermanence

Collections of art and writing from a week in Baxter this past July with my son.

Moments now.

Put your feet on the quiet earth and feel a rumble. It’s washing over you, the impermanence of being alive.

See a changing face pulling at depth.

Gray clouds untamed, wild winds shaking everything we have, which is very little.

Rain, mountain tops and match boxes,

burnt coffee and adventure.

So timely this rain and unexpected nightingale singing into a thousand, scattered stars.

SEE blue skies and HEAR river noises. Be led to where time is forgotten and remembered.
