Nature’s Winter Imprint: A Watercolor Journey Through Stillness and Light

Join me at my studio for a four part winter watercolor series and discover the magic of Northern Maine through watercolor. In this enchanting four-part workshop series, we’ll explore the gentle whispers of nature—soft winter skies, frosty botanicals, animal tracks in the snow, and shimmering frozen reflections. Each session invites you to slow down, connect with the season’s stillness, and capture its fleeting beauty on paper.

Guided by watercolor techniques and mindful observation, you’ll create a collection of paintings that will culminate in a hand-bound book—a treasure to hold winter’s wonder in your hands. Whether you’re new to watercolors or a seasoned artist, this series offers a space to reflect, create, and celebrate the quiet magic of winter.

Session One- Explore winter skies and landscapes

Session Two- Frosted botanicals

Session Three- Snowy animals, tracks and reflections

Session Four- Culminate your work into an accordion fold book

Each session will incorporate instruction on watercolor techniques such as wet on wet, dry brush, blooming, layering, creating texture, depth, etc. There will also be opportunities to incorporate writing and reflection with prompts.
