"Charlene Lutz is an abstract, mixed-media artist incorporating color, texture, depth, light, and motion into painting using collage, ink acrylic, pastels, textiles, organic material, and other various media. She interprets the world as colors, shapes, and sounds. Her interest in the small details encourages others to see the big picture. Since I first met her in 2012, she has grown exponentially as an artist, educator, author, podcaster, graphic designer, herbalist, wellness coach, and master facilitator. Char’s superpower is her ability to bring out the artist in other people, especially the untrained. Children and adults alike succeed joyfully under her direction. Through her, I am in touch with my own creative muse and surprise myself daily with the breadth of what I can express if I just let it rise. She lives her values honestly and invites us to participate in what she aptly describes as “the layers of a creative life”. If you can attend one of her many workshops, don’t miss it! Your heart and mind will thank you."

“I had the good fortune to have Charlene Lutz teach workshops at Heart Space...a spiritual wellness venue in Media, PA. Many in attendance were not school taught artists but any person present was able to learn new ways to put paint and other mediums to canvas, paper or wood. Charlene introduced me to ink painting, mixing paints and using oil pastels to create different effects. Charlene allowed everyone the freedom to create from their own experience and level, and from where we were in our lives...in our mind and heart. It may not have been pretty all the time, but it was real, creating an image of that moment in time...or beyond time for some. Thank you, Charlene. Wishing you the abundant best in sharing your gift of art creation.” -Denise Yocco, Peace Ambassador and Owner of Seven Stones and Heart Space at Seven Stones, Media, Pennsylvania.

"I have known Charlene as an educator, artist, and wellness practitioner. Colleagues at the elementary school where she currently works often say, “It is amazing to see Charlene outside with her students every day–she is always filled with joy and so are they!” The enthusiasm she brings to teaching, creating, and wellness is inspirational. For instance, she created the image for a professional poster that another colleague and I brought to the Children and Nature Network Inside Out International conference. The most frequently asked question about the poster was, “Who designed the image?” Charlene and I recently had the opportunity to work together to facilitate a wellness retreat for educators with several other practitioners. Charlene bracketed the day with a nature art activity that asked participants to represent parts of themselves in a mandala. She honored and acknowledged the cultural and indigenous, current and historical, practices of creating mandalas with words, research, mindful silence, and practical information. With flexibility and preparation, Charlene brought her ideas and drew from the group to form a workshop that was engaging, beautiful, reflective, and supportive of all. I am grateful for Charlene’s work in the world both personally and professionally–Anyone who has the opportunity to work with her will leave refreshed and changed." Anne Stires, Educational Consultant
